Our GE 2017 Candidates

Alison Gibbon - BootleAlison Gibbon - BOOTLE

By standing as the Green Party Candidate for Bootle, I am helping to influence local events; raise the profile of the Green Party and give a voice to women in the democratic process.

The Green Party is well placed to challenge the current Conservative agenda which is decimating public services, increasing the gap between rich and poor and leading us into a hard brexit.

I believe we can do much more to make Bootle a vital energising 'green zone' and will involve the community in a push for green energy, green jobs and greener schools, businesses and streets. Monitoring and improving air pollution will improve people's health and focusing on hotspots, will lead to better decisions around travel and transport.  I would better involve housing associations in the drive for more affordale, social, green housing with priority to developments on brownfield sites. Together we can do things differently to build a better, greener Bootle
