We are proud to do politics differently but we need determined, caring people like you to help us make it happen. Join the thousands of people who are already members and stand up for what matters.

Being a member means being able to vote in our elections to shape the future of the Green Party, getting updates on the campaigns you are making happen and receiving invitations to our events. It also means supporting the only political party dedicated to fighting for climate justice. We will also put you in touch with your local party if you’d like to get active in green issues locally.

If you have any questions about Green Party membership, please contact one of our team at members@greenparty.org.uk

We couldn’t do it without you – thank you.

Volunteer to help the Green Party

The Green Party is 99% made up of volunteers - this is how we’ve been running for over 40 years.  There is so much to do to win elections, we rely on volunteers and welcome your help.  Whatever skillset or ability you have, you will be an asset to us.

To share your details with the Party so we can get in touch to about volunteering, please complete the form below and someone from your Local Party will be in touch.

https://www.greenparty.org.uk/get-involved/

Even if you don't want to make the commitment of joining us, we always welcome supporters and volunteers. Volunteers can help with our campaigning work. Could you help deliver leaflets to your street, or go out with our campaign team and speak to local residents about their concerns?

Do you have fundraising experience or web design, press, research and administrative skills?  Whatever your level of experience and however much or little time you can give, we would love to hear from you.

Contact Mike Carter (Local Party Co-ordinator) by email or telephone as above for more information about ways you can get involved.

Donate

We hope to put in place soon the means to donate electronically to the Sefton Green Party.

In the meantime you could send a cheque to Mike Carter (Local Party Co-ordinator) at 4 Kinross Road, Waterloo, Liverpool, L22 1RS; or speak to Mike about setting up a small monthly standing order.

Stand for Council

Although we have contested parish and borough elections in the last few years we have no Green Party councillors on the Sefton Council yet.  But we aim to change this.

So we need lots of enthusiastic, committed and hard-working candidates. We are particularly keen to ensure diversity amongst our candidates.

Candidates must support the main aims and policies of the Green Party. See www.greenparty.org.uk for national aims and policies, and see Sefton Green Party's Local Manifesto for local aims.

An Interesting website

This is a carefully sourced and referenced set of facts that counter many Government claims and popular myths:

Vote for Policies

Caroline Lucas, in a letter to the Guardian, said "Out of 332,237 people surveyed in the Vote for Policies survey before the last election ... over 24% – more than any other party – chose Green policies. The last time people had a chance to vote in elections under proportional representation – the Euro elections of 2009 – the Greens won over a million votes, demonstrating again the growing support for action on the Green agenda."

Visit the website at voteforpolicies.org.uk/and take the survey yourself.  Compare "blind" policies from six UK political parties on a range of key issues.  After you have chosen the policies you agree with, you are shown which parties they belong to.

Take Action

Sefton is a great place to live and it deserves the best leadership. Green Party policies can make our area cleaner, greener and more pleasant to live in, for everybody.  Elected Green councillors will mean more influence to take Sefton in a better direction for the future

Join us in making Sefton a great place to live and work in.
